We are now accepting speaker presentations for consideration for the 2018 EMS World Expo, scheduled for October 29- November 2, 2018, in Nashville, TN.
The EMS World Expo conference program features timely, thought-provoking and educationally sound topics that are relevant to EMTs, paramedics, critical care providers, EMS educators, emergency nurses, EMS medical directors, EMS administrators and managers.
The following educational tracks are offered at EMS World Expo: BLS, ALS, Critical Care, Educator, Leadership, MIH-Community Paramedicine, Pediatrics/Geriatrics/Special Populations and Management/Operations.
The majority of the core conference sessions at EMS World Expo are 60 minutes, including Q&A.
Preconference workshops can be 2-day, 1-day or 4 hours in length.
We are also accepting presentations that are 20 minutes in length for the “Lightning Rounds” section of the conference, where there may be multiple speakers presenting on a similar topic.
We are accepting single speaker presentations, as well as suggestions for panel discussions. Applicants may have more than one submission for any type of session.
New this year will be a New Speaker Mentorship offering, where new and budding speakers will be offered speaking and content guidance by seasoned EMS professionals and speakers. We encourage those who are new to the speaker circuit or those who are regional speakers to consider this opportunity.
Proposals are due by January 15, 2018 at 11:59PM EST!
Submit your presentation(s) by January 15, 2018, at 11:59 PM via the Abstract Scorecard submission site. The selected submitters will receive an e-mail notification of participation by March 20, 2018. If your submission was not selected, you will be notified via email.
Please note that e-mail and paper submissions will NOT be accepted.
Additional Proposal Considerations
Members of the Program Advisory Committee evaluate all proposed presentations based on the following criteria:
- Overall quality;
- Relevance to the EMS community;
- Well-defined focus within the program track structure;
- Practical applications of material;
- Timeliness of the topic and speaker qualifications
When submitting your proposal(s) consider the following guidelines:
- Top consideration is given to new, high-quality and/or timely topics not previously presented at EMS World Expo or other national events;
- Strong consideration will be given to presentations that focus on solutions and best practices for both field providers and EMS leaders;
- Your session description should answer the following: What will attendees gain from this session? What are the learning objectives? What will attendees take home to their place of employment?
We recommend speakers submit several presentations (max: 5) for consideration, as faculty members typically present several sessions at EMS World Expo.
NOTE: You are limited to a maximum of 5 submissions for consideration.
