The National Council Conference (NatCon) is the largest annual event of mental health and addiction leaders in the health care industry.
It is also an annual opportunity for current and future National Council members to engage in exceptional experiences and content that supports their development, increases their productivity and leads organizations to achieve financial success.
The National Council for Behavioral Health prides itself on having the best speakers and most engaging sessions for its 5,000 attendees. The curriculum balances valuable workshops and sessions for our target audiences: executives, health systems influencers, middle managers and program directors, people with lived experience and industry leaders from around the nation.
Join this community by submitting a proposal to present at NatCon18. We want you to share your expertise on behavioral health care’s greatest innovations in finance, integrated health care, technology and professional development through an inventive educational session.
We also welcome your input in creating a conference experience that engages and challenges. We especially seek presentation ideas from our member organizations, the providers who innovate the way we deliver care.
If accepted, your presentation will be given at NatCon18 in Washington, DC, April 23-25, 2018.
Don’t miss this opportunity to influence and inspire passionate discussions.
Proposal Categories
The National Council accepts proposals for four presentation categories: workshop presentations, lunch ‘n’ learns, poster presentations and TED-style talks and Ignite presentations.
For ideas on the caliber of presentations and the topic areas of most interest to our attendees, please review past
conference programs.
Selection Process
The process to accept workshops, posters and Ted-style and Ignite sessions is very selective. There are limited slots available, and the final decision is at the discretion of the National Council. General sessions and thought leader sessions are determined solely by the National Council. If a proposal warrants a general session or thought leader session, instead of a workshop, the National Council will make that determination and inform the submitter.
One of the best ways to increase your chances of getting your paper selected for inclusion in the 2018 conference is to review past onsite conference programs. You can view them at
